I have a 1995 nissan altima gxe when I first it it starts right up but when I drive it for a while and turn it off then when I start it back up it starts slow but when I turn the key off and on it starts up I replaced the distributor and had the starter and battery checked and they are fine what else could be the problem

Clean the battery terminals and replace the battery if older than five~ Also ground cable to frame connection, and to motor as well~

supposed to be 14.5 (while running) or 13.5 volts and survive a dead short for two seconds using a destructive load tester (destructive, is the battery ain't healthy enough to survive it)

went through a couple of distributors on my 95 GLE, an oil leak laid waste to their electronics, one miscalculation it had was to fire on the intake stroke causing bent piston rods....the engine never sounded smooth after the second distributor~

i like platniums cause you dont have to gap them but i dk i dont have a problem with my batt my car is good its flynn1954 car lol you gotta wait for his response
