Water in combustion chamber

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 97 ford Taurus was overheating blew off coolant
reservoir cap stopped car added water it started running
out tailpipe will not start possible shorted out starter but
towed it home and found water in sparkplug hole like alot
of water ran out left plug out added water in reservoir it
ran out sparkplug chamber again so that is a head gasket
problem right?

Yes. There will almost always be condensating release from your tail pipe. Don't put straight tap water in coolant. Water is not designed to handle heat of that magnitude. Mix with coolant or add pre diluted. But first find out why it is over heating. Check your thermostat

Yeah im sure it's the radiator leaking but i probably replace thermostat anyway looks like it original from 1997 oh and when adding water when its hot the water boils over and out of reservoir

Wait until things cool down then go from there. I would definitely look into changing your temperature control sensor as well.
