Is there a fuse or a switch that will disable power if my truck was towed?

Asked by Mhammer1 Jul 29, 2016 at 05:52 PM about the 2005 Nissan Titan SE King Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2005 Titan.  It got hot ( hose blew) and I shut it off.  I had it towed to my
house, and now it doesn't register any electrical power.  The battery is less
than 3 months old, , but I tried to jump it anyway.

There is a main fuse, but I'd check to make sure th battery actually has a charge before tearing into things. Then check main and other fuses. Wouldn't hurt to pick up an mini & maxi fuse kit, they come with a fuse tester that makes it quick and easy, no need to remove a fuse to see if it is good. If battery is good and all fuses and relays are good, then check the fusible links. when the hose blew it may have his one of more parts of the wiring harness or soaked the starter circuit which blew the fusible link.

Just re-read where you say you tried to jump it, overlooked that. If the car showed no electrical power when hooked up to the jumper cables, I'd look at the fusible links.

The hole in front of your shifter push a key or anything that fits in then it will allow you to shift it into gear and steer and use the brake

I would disconnect battery completely leave it sit 20 mins with the key on so it drains everything then turn key off hook up your battary and try it if that doesn't work open your driver door hit the door ajar sensor button with the door opened 5 times till you hear a click it will run through all your electrical systems on it's own it's a test function in it dosent do that it's a bad battary or your need to trickle charge it
