Dead Battery Issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I received the software update today on
my 2019 Honda CR-V for the dead
battery issue. My dealership service
manager took the car for a 20 Mile drive
on the highway at speeds of 60 and over.
No problems so far. Computer on dash
and main computer screen stayed
normal . I drove it home in the city and
had no problems yet. Haven't let it sit
long enough to see if battery stays
charged. They did detect a gasoline
smell in the oil which is another problem
but stable right now. It was documented.
Also the Honda Corporation called me
also today and said they will call back in
a couple days. I'm still hesitant about
highway driving do to some of them
loosing power. I guess time will tell. I'll
keep ya posted.

Had let CR-V sit for 5 days. Brand new, 100 miles. Battery was dead when I went to start it last night. Took it to the dealer and received the software update that dealer stated only came in this week. I'll let you know if it worked or not.
