I have a 2005 Altima - When the door is open there used to be the ding, ding, ding sound until it was closed. All of a sudden now it is a constant tone that is louder. What do you think is wrong?

get a diagnostic check from the autoparts store or read the trouble codes with your own 15 dollar scanner~

sometimes the warnings are elemental...for example if the brake fluid is low because the brakes are worn....ready for replacement...this could be an esoteric way of notifying you~

Also, if you have one, does the "door ajar" light/message stay on? Do the interior lights stay on? If so it's probably a stuck switch in the door jam or inside the door itself. HTH. -Jim
