Why are Dealers allowed to post down payment as the price of a car?

Vehicle listed on CarGurus for $5,000, definite red flag.  When I went to the
dealers site and inquired why so low, I was told they post the down payment.
Why does CarGurus allow this?  Nothing in the ad indicated it was down
payment pricing.

Read the Terms of Use , link at the bottom of the page. This is where Cargurus lists their stance on this site.

You caught them so walk away and never do business with them.
