I would consult the dealer. The car should be under warranty.

If you look at the battery it probably says. If you do not know charge it at a low rate like 2 amps. Why are you having to charge your new car battery?

Have you taken it back to your Subaru dealer?

I had it toed by AAA to a dealer close by, and they brought out a huge battery charger, and Jumpered it to my battery, it started just like that. I first tried the jumper with my other car, and the tow truck tried the same with no luck. One day later same problem, would not start in my garage. I removed the battery terminals, and found the positive post covered with a jell like substance, I cleaned it up and jumpered it from my Mercedes, and it started right up.

I found the real problem why my battery kept draining over night. It turned out to be a USB Flash Stick with my MP3 music. I forgot to unplug this stick from the USB under the dash panel. How could a very small simple thing cause such disaster to the battery drain over night. Just doesn't seem possible. Poor design by Subaru, you would think they would of published this in the Owners Manual.

Having the same problem, but I do not have any USB or other item plugged in. My daughter has it as school. If she does not start it after a few days it is dead. only 6 months old. 5500 miles. Clearly a defect. Something is draining the battery.

On a recent trip to CO we rented a 2019 Outback from AVIS. Battery died overnight with no observable reason. Started with jump, but we weren't comfortable keeping it, as we suspected problem might occur again. Took car to another AVIS affiliate about an hour away. Guy there said AVIS installed a "VR" device in the car that tracks mileage & fuel levels & this device drained the Outback battery. Apparently he's seen this happen frequently. I'm wondering if the 2019 Outback is predisposed to quick battery drain & AVIS device put it over the edge...?

Update- Dealer replaced the battery at no charge. Subaru engineer confirmed an issue with 2019 Outback batteries. If they really "loved" their customers, they would proactively reach out and replace them.

I have had my 2019 outback towed 4 times because of a dead battery. I have had the battery replaced twice already. Battery was dead again yesterday am, but had it jump started and has been fine since.

nobody answered, they just highjacked the thread. What type of Battery does 2019 Subaru Outback have STD AGM or GEL
