I have a 96 eclipse gs and it is giving me a P0300 code which Ive done a lot of research on and changed a few things but still getting code. If I have a 97 motor in it will the ECU read the components, IE: fuel injectors, egr, etc,. wrong or it doesn't matter.?

WE have replaced egr valve cam censer egr control valve but keep getting the same code.

Do you have any drivability issues? If not have you unhooked your battery for atleast ten minutes to reset all the codes? If no to both then unhook your battery for atleast ten minutes. Then hook back up and drive it a bit.
