Airbag light

Asked by Laura Apr 30, 2018 at 03:57 PM about the 1997 Ford Escort 4 Dr LX Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Airbag light blinking 3-4. Changed
clockspring then changed airbag. Checked
wires under seat...seems fine. Why won't the
light stop blinking after these repairs. Ideas?
Need to inspect it.

The air bag system runs on resistance, any change in resistance will cause the light to come on, or bags to deploy, you need to check all connectors for tightness and corrosion, DO NOT PROBE ANY WIRES!!!!
