Asked by Sep 21, 2010 at 07:36 AM about the Ford Escort

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the battery light is flickering when i turn on the car and start going. The light goes away when I am at highway speeds, but starts flickering again when i slow down. The alternator is about 18 months old and the battery was replaced a year ago. Anyone know why this could be happening?
