Whining Noise all of the time
There's a whining noise coming from my car whether it's in gear or not. It
increases in frequency and amplitude as the RPM's increase. I've replaced
the alternator with no change. It sounds like it's coming from a pulley on the
belt but I don't want to rip into anything else without some clues as to what it
might be. I'll be posting a video soon. Any help is appreciated.

Listen carefully to find the source. An idler wheel bearing is a possibility.
Check the fluid level in your power steering. Also, turn off your A/C and defrost to see if it might be the A/C compressor. Some cars, it's normal to hear the alternator whine, especially under heavier current loads.
I'll listen more closely for sure. The sound didn't start until a few weeks ago and it's pretty loud so. I have a hard time believing it's the power steering fluid because I don't have any problems turning, but I'll definitely check it. It's just hard to pick out what it is for sure.
