That's a lot of miles, but it well taken care of worth looking at. I would bring someone along who knows Mini's well. Don't go by what the seller says too much. I have a friend that has a mini with 140,000 and it is an awesome car yet because it was very well maintained.

Check the receipts and service history - on the pre-facelift models you need to check for gearbox issues being addressed; that's the main issue. Also check for any work on electrics being carried out and if all the audio equipment works as it should. Other than that the mileage shouldn't effect too much if it's been properly looked after.

If the car has Full Service History and been looked after it should not be a problem, older Mini's can be a fortune to repair and the fuel economy ain't that good, but great fun to drive

If its a CVT (Automatic) then dont do it, if its a 5 speed then watch the gearbox and clutch. Open the Doors and lift the rubber check for rust there and at the back hatch.

Sometimes the mini dealer has good deals on preowned. I bought a 04 with 94000 for 5000 and repairs so far comes to about 7000$$.

I just bought a 2006 with 170000 miles I replace the brakes and the thermostat had the AC recharged and change the oil and it runs great. I only paid $900 and put about a thousand into it so for 1800 bucks to good deal.
