98 Ford explore cranks but does not start

Asked by Jan 19, 2017 at 08:52 PM about the 1998 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Question type: General

When I turn the key on I'm getting fuel
pressure.  When I crank the motor the fuel
pump is not running.  When I turn the key
to the start position the  theft light  stops
blinking and stays on solid. The motor will
start with starting fluid for a second

There is a post about 6 pages down that covers this on the anti theft system. It is on a 2001 Ford ranger, the guys handle is Kstand.
