how do i set the timing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The water pump broke we got it fixed and was putting it back together when the timing pulley slipped and knocked out of time and im trying to figure out how to put it back in time. Also will the spark plugs being bad cause the timing any problems'

Ok your pics and other pics I've seen show an I and an E my car is showing an R and an L is there a difference it has the gears been switched

if you can discern R when looking at it...that's not the left hand side~
