my 2003 kia spectra wont go over 30 mph

My car wont go over 30mph. It sounds like it wants to go into gear but it doesnt.

have your transmission oil level checked, it could be that there is insufficient oil in the transmission or your torque convertor might be on the blink. my best advice would be to take the car to a transmission specialist.

definitely must be the transmission if it sounds like it wants to go into gear.

It does go into gear when I build up enough speed and let up on the accelerator.
