what makes it burn oil

Crankcase vent plugged AKA pcv system, possible intake gaskets depending on what engine you have, worn valve guides and or seals, cracked head into an oil passage, worn out piston rings or engine block, I think that should cover it.

Yup that covers it. If you tell us when it burns oil we may be able to narrow down the issue. Does it do it all the time. After you start it. After reving it up? The more details the better.

I'm burning a quart a week, driving for uber. My car is a 2012 with 44k miles on it. I drive about 3k miles a month and change oil monthly, adding 5 quarts between oil changes. No oil leak, nothing going into radiator, all has been monitored.
