76 el camino battery drain very very slightly light on Lite tester

there is no information given on how often you are using this car. If a live battery sits for quite some time, it slowly drains. I would definitely unplug either or both cables if I know that it will be sitting for 2 to 3 weeks. If it's not sitting, then you have a live circuit that is draining it and it's not being recharged. Hopefully you have the right battery for the car, too. y' cant just throw in Jim Bob battery 12v in a car and expect all electrical to be just fine. good luck
