How reliable is the Vulcan 3.0l v6?

Hello, I would like to preface this inquiry by stating I do not know that much
about cars. I know the basics and that is about it. Anyways, I recently got a
1999 Ford Ranger. It has a Vulcan 3.0L v6 engine with an automatic
transmission. It has around 300,000 miles on it. I am just wondering how
reliable the engine is? And how long they usually last before tons of
problems start to occur? Thanks for any replies in advance!

The 3.0 is a good engine but you know that since it made it 300k miles. I would not be taking any cross country trips in it.

i trust the Ford Vulcan ..at over 300000...than the Ecoboost 4 cylinders anyday of week....and i have owned both..
