My 1995 jeep  Cherokee country turns overlong start it has happened before
and the next day it starts does anyone know why?

You can try a few simple things first like replace air filter if dirty clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank and replace fuel filter if have not done so in awhile.
