Is there a door-opened switch for interior lights on the '99 Mustang?

The interior lights will not shut off. Have checked the switches on the mirror
(Convertible Mustang), but don't see a plunger-style switch in the door frame.

Yes there are door switches, they are incorporated in the latch assembly inside the door, you will have to remove the door panels to gain access to them for testing.

Had the same problem on my Expedition and had to replace two switches.
