Is there a door-opened switch for interior lights on the '99 Mustang?

Asked by Nov 03, 2016 at 11:04 PM about the 1999 Ford Mustang GT Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The interior lights will not shut off. Have checked the switches on the mirror
(Convertible Mustang), but don't see a plunger-style switch in the door frame.

Yes there are door switches, they are incorporated in the latch assembly inside the door, you will have to remove the door panels to gain access to them for testing.

Thanks, Tennisshoes! That explains why I couldn't find the switch! Chappy911

Had the same problem on my Expedition and had to replace two switches.
