Ford Edge 2017 Liftgate

Asked by GuruRY5NQ Feb 03, 2020 at 06:27 PM about the 2017 Ford Edge Titanium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When pushing the control button on the liftgate, the liftgate does not close.  All
other features of the liftgate (remote button on keychain, interior cab release
button, and moving your foot under the rear bumper) releases the liftgate with
no issue.  Is it a faulty switch or ???

All cars have a reset key function. Search yours and reset your keys. It refreshes your key setting to the way it was by having you press certain buttons in a certain sequence.

This might be cured by doing a rest of the hatch system. Try holding the button on the hatch for 5 seconds or so. This should do a reset of this system. Hope it works for you. T.
