Can I safely give a copy of my clean title to potential buyer for loan purposes?

Hello can you tell me if it is safe to give a potential car buyer a copy of my clean
title? He said that his Credit Union needs a copy for loan purpose?

I would deal directly with the lender. There is NO WAY I would give a stranger a copy of my title.
