which tires gives smooth ride for 67 GTO

A radial tire will give a smoother ride than an old style bias ply tire. I would go with a passenger car tire like a Michelin, Goodyear etc. Performance tires will have stiffer side walls so ask the tire shop for old lady tires ;)

A cool ride like a 67 GTO deserves a good set of performance tires.
