Im looking for a fuel system diagram for my 1985 Chevy C10 to figure out how to run a 2nd return line to my tanks. Can I just "T" off at the OEM fuel pump back to the original return line?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I just bought a new Crate 350 LB 5.7L engine. Went from a stock 305 and now its pretty
much all custom. I have a OEM mech fuel pump, but new edelbrock carb wants less than
6psi than the 10psi that the mech fuel pump is pushing. I have a Holley fuel press reg but
I want to "T" off back to the fuel pump return line. Is it possible? Plus I can't locate ANY
diagrams for the fuel system anywhere, including the Haynes book.
Any ideas? Thanks

yes.. higher dollar systems use the return line...i still dont. and if you click on my pictuct you will see a fuel line into my regulator feedind a dominator and 2 stages of nitrous...i dont run a return because tme fuel in my line is not in there long enough to get hot..also..a return will keep a pump cooler and a little bot quieter..but anything stock or a little bigger is a waist...do you have a fuel cell..cause you really dont want a return..put a $20.00 fuel pressure gage oi/in the holly reg.and set it at 5lbs at 4000 rpm ..want to add anoyher return line in to the tank do you... dead head it at the holly reg with one line in bottom one outlet pluged and other outlet to carb...a return system with a big pump/volume only returns the fuel to the tank to keep it a little colder
