Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed transmission on my 85 c10 Silverado from a 700r4 to a th350 and when I was test driving it I seen that there was fluid leaking everywhere. I looked and found that it was leaking from the transmission cooler lines where they screw into the tranny, they were leaking out from between the screw and the line itself. So I figured the flare wasn't big enough and I completely re did the lines and put new line and screws on and it still leaks from the same place. Ive tried sealing it with JB Weld, Some spray sealer stuff, and still it was leaking but just a little slower, my next option was gonna be silicone. Does anyone have any suggestions or should I go with the silicone?

There is a small compression washer that goes there. JB weld and the like will not fix it. Good luck friend

If your connection is the type that requires a bead on the line, flaring will not help.

I dont think it requires the bead because the truck i took it off didnt have a bead but the lines were rusted and kept breaking so i didnt use them
