Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1992 silverado 2500----I'm pulling the motor out of
the truck but need to unbolt the transmission from
motor. Whats the easiest way to get to the bolts in
the trans? Should i support the trans on a jack then
remove crossmember and lower the transmission
a tiny bit to see the bolts better?

There is plenty of room to get at the bolts from above and below. Remember to unbolt the torque converter, and it does help to have a jack under the trany just for support in removing the engine. I always leave the cross member in.
