10 year old vehicle, if Carfax doesn't have anything on it then there not much of a chance finding much out about it. DMV might have some history on how many owners it had if it was reported. But don't expect much.
It's always good to ask about a vehicle's history from the seller, because used car dealers usually won't give that out. A really informative site is vincheck.info where you just enter the VIN and you can get the basic history, and can buy more details.
