My 2014 Santa Fe Sport inside lights would not turn off after the allowable time turning off the ignition.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had my Santa Fe a little over a year and parked car at restaurant to meet
friends, but inside lights would not turn off.  I waited by the car for too long of
a time for them to have turned off.  I finally had to leave and never made it
inside to meet my friends.  Upon arriving home and turning ignition off, the
lights did go off.  What could the problem be.

Possibly a software glitch or faulty switch. On my 2011 it seems to take longer sometimes than other times, but if I press the alarm button on the key fob they go right out almost instantly. Try that and see if it makes a difference.
