Advice please! I have a charcoal 2000 Mustang V-6 automatic. I've had this car for 9 years and have treated it wonderfully; however, transmission has gone out and I'm not sure if repair is worth it.
200,000 miles- interior & exterior
great condition- good tires-
replacing transmission will cost 2g's
and kbb value is around the same.
How can I make the best of this
situation? Junk it for parts? Trade for
something? Repair? Any advice is
WAIT UNTIL TAX TIME AROUND FEBRUARY, AND TAKE IT TO A LOCAL CAR AUCTION. ABOUT THAT TIME OF YEAR USED CAR LOTS ARE SCRAMBLING TO BUY ENOUGH CARS FOR THERE LOTS AND THE SELLING PRICES START TO GO WAY UP!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're mechanically inclined you can save a ton of money with a wrecking yard transmission and replace it yourself.
I would sell parts off the car.
I have a transmission for the same year for sale
