I have a 04 Chrysler Crossfire I can be driving down the
road it will go out of Drive and won't go nowhere I'll pull
over to the side of the road turn the car off and turn it back
on put it in drive and is back working again what will cause
that

Thermal failure of the solenoid pack in the tranny, failure of the TCM, low fluid pressures, as the fluid warms it thins out and you loose system pressures, usually caused by leaking internal pressure seals. A tranny shop should be able to hookup electronically and run stand alone tests and tell you what is happening. HTH
