09 Hyundia Accent check engine lite on. Code
Po501 speed sensor. Speedo works fine, but no
vehicle speed registers on the obd scanner.
Changed our wheel sensor. What next?

Check the wiring going to the sensor for damage as well as the plug for the sensor. Do you have the correct size tires on the vehicle? The wrong size tires will also trigger this trouble code. HTH. -Jim

Tires are stock size. Any other speed sensor on 5 spd other than the wheel sensor?

From what I've read there may be one on the rear axle or the transmission. HTH. -Jim
