I have a 1999 Honda Accord. It drives ok until I stop. Then the car shutters and turns off. It takes a few minutes before I can start the car again. Does this sound like a fuel pump?
It could be an overheating relay or the fuel pump going bad, or several other things. Is the check engine light on or not? Have you gone to an autoparts store and had the car checked for stored trouble codes? If you haven't, start by doing that first at any Autozone, Advance or pep boys or O'reilly's. There is also an EGR air passage in the intake manifold that causes similar behavior, which was poorly designed and needs to be fixed on the 6 cylinder engines, so not knowing which one is in your car, here is a link to the info on the EGR problem. Copy & paste it into your browser and check it out. http://www.autorepairinstructions.com/?p=106.
