Starter trouble for 2016 GMC Sierra Truck 1500

Asked by GuruF9JSF Apr 13, 2020 at 05:14 PM about the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Double Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We purchased a GMC Sierra 1500 in June 2016, brand new. It is Apr 2020 and the starter has gone out so the service person said. The reason we took the truck in was because the truck would not start. I would jump start it and then within a few hours the battery is dead. We purchased a new battery last year. I do not trust service department.
