Randomly overheated front console on 2016 Camry XSE

Asked by Sonja Apr 29, 2021 at 10:08 AM about the 2016 Toyota Camry XSE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2016 Camry XSE gets super hot cup holders and front armrest, but it
doesn't happen all the time. It is random occurrence. Anybody know why this
happens? I mentioned it to the shop of my Toyota dealership, but of course it
never acts up when I drive it there, and they could not give me an explanation
what causes it and if I need to worry,

1 Answer

The heat would be from the exhaust. I would add heat insulation and also do a live scan of the computer to see if anything shows up. I would also have a muffler shop check it out.
