WHAT IS THE MARKET VALUE FOR 1989 MERCEDES BENZ 560sl CONVERTIBLE WITH 47725 MILES

Not a single listing has a price market value. Too many variables for that old. But there are a couple listed, '89 560 SL w/42,879 miles for $29,988 and another with 60,020 miles for $29,990. The others are high mileage, 100k+ asking $17,000

If your car is in excellent cosmetic shape (interior and exterior), has never been in an accident, comes with books, tools, first aid kit, tags, etc. (everything that came with the car when it was new), and has substantial documentation of service and repair records, it could be worth more than $30,000 at this point in time. One of the key issues for an educated buyer will be the mechanical work that has been done recently to the suspension, fuel system, HVAC (A/C/Heater) and other major systems that require repairs/updates at this point in the car's life. Also, evidence that the car was maintained properly and on schedule will be very important to ask for more than $30,000 - e.g., regular oil changes, fluid changes, filter replacements, belt/hose replacements, etc. In sum, I have bought/sold several of these cars in the last few years. I'd pay $32,500 for your car if it meets the requirements that I mention above. But, if it is missing anything - especially evidence of mechanical service/repairs, I'd start discounting the price. If you have none of the items that I mention above, I wouldn't pay more than $20,000 - the risk would be too great. Good luck and hope this helps.
