my 2001 mustang Bullitt had the battery go dead for lack of use and after recharge it would crank but would not start????
do you hear the fuel pump energize? i'm assuming to tried 2-3 times to start it. you need spark and fuel so check each to see where the problem is. a pressure gauge on the fuel rail will tell you about the pump. pull a coil and put a spark plug in while touching ground to see if you have spark. also check the inertia cutoff on the trunk to see if it has been tripped.
sounds like it has somthing to do with either the keep alive memory... does the tech move when it cranks? if not it could be a bad cam sensor... does the security light flash or xcome on? it could have lost the memory of the chip in the key have you had it scanned for codes in the gem modual or any thing? these could all lead to a diagnosis
