2015 Honda Odyssey Side Slider opens by itself when locked overnight

Asked by Holly Jan 29, 2020 at 06:35 PM about the 2015 Honda Odyssey EX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Several times (at least 8) in the last few months I have come out after work or in the morning before work and my rear slider driver's side door was wide open. It is not user error on the fob. It's happening when the fob is sitting in my coat pocket and not being touched. It happened today when the car was locked and I was in the grocery store, then again when I got home came inside, then 20 minutes later went to go back out and it was open again. Very frustrating.

So we decided it was the fob, some kind of short circuit? Odd since it happened when the fob was sitting by itself on my dresser or in my pocket. But I started using the second fob and and the problem went away.
