I have a 2001 ford escape I had two codes show up on my obdII reader one for the iac valve and one for a misfire in cylinder #4 I read on the computer the misfire was caused by the iac valve!!!! yeah right!! the misfre is still ther on cylinder #4 what else can it be the only thing the car/truck does is buck a littlte (idle runs little low )and I can feel it in the car mainly at a stop or comming to a stop.does anyone have a clue what can be wrong besides its a ford!!!
Idle Air Control Valve. That can cause lots of problems, does not mean it's related to #4 misfire.
If you have a misfire on Cyl #4 it most definetely is a bad Ignition Coil on that plug. You will need to remove the upper intake to get to it. Go to youtube as they have a video on how to do it. Search under "Ford Escape changing Spark plugs"
