When light comes on car loses power. If tires spin light comes on and Car loses power no
matter how far you push the eccelerator down. Is this normal?
Again! This came back from the tranny shop like this. Could they have hooked something
What light are you talking about?
Yes, it's normal. The traction control system detects wheel spin and reduces engine power and sometimes activates the antilock brakes to stop the wheels from spinning. The light comes on as well to tell you the system is doing it's job. HTH. -Jim
Yup, with the fly-by-wire accelerator system, part of the traction assist feature is to reduce engine power. The other part is to apply modulated brake pressure to the spinning wheel. In other words - don't try to spin the tires
