I called the dealer and they said it is a satellite issue. Kia needs to fix the issue. Until the satellite issue is resolved, there’s nothing the dealer can do. He said when they resolve the issue the clock will reappear.

My clock disappeared also on my 2018 Niro. Very frustrating. The dealer informed me they have no timeline for a fix and that it is a satellite issue that Kia is working on.

So i tried one suggestion by taking the navigation sim card out for five minutes and i turned off my bluetooth and i was able to get the clock back! I left it out for about 6 minutes with the car running, I had previously tried it and it did not work, but it did work this time when I turned bluetooth off, my clock is now back!!!

Stopped by the KIA dealer this morning and they are not sure why this happened. But they fixed it in a matter of minutes. Started the car, removed the SD card and hit the reset button just above the sd card slot (may be elsewhere on your model). When screen came back u inserted the SD card, system rebooted, went settings system update and then to clock and all is well

On 8-21, just called my dealer. Was informed it IS a Kia issue and it was because a navigation update they sent out. They are HOPING to have it fixed by the end of the week. Was told to sit tight.

I turned off the fuse box for 15 min and got mine back. If I waited for my dealer, I might be waiting until Christmas.

Mine did too. Start the car, Take out the SD card while the car running for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes put it back in. The screen will restart and after few minutes the clock and date will show .

I’ve tried every configuration of the SD card & the reset button I can think of (car in, car off, quickly hitting the reset button, laying on it for 30+ seconds, SD card in, SD card out, 5 minutes, 10+ minutes, & even letting the SD card stay out the whole day while I was at work). Nothing. I’ve reset things through the app, I’ve messed with every button on the menu... I’m so frustrated! Still seeing -:- & clock menu is grayed out. Is there a reason Kia hasn’t sent out messages to owners on simple ways they’ve been successful in correcting this? I’ve also recently noticed that the two orange lights on the top right of my display behind the steering wheel (one looks like a hazard light, the other looks like a collision warning) are staying on a couple seconds longer than the rest. Anyone else seeing this too?

I had the same issue until a few minutes ago with my 2015 optima Hybrid. I pulled the navigation card like a few people said and reinserted it right away and it restarted the system and now it works!! Thanks guys! That was so frustrating!

I have the same condition and, as Leslie advised, nothing fixes it. I have 2018 Niro crossover hybrid and I am not fooling around with battery terminals. My car is the Graphite Edition with the larger screen and advanced radio. Not sure if this makes a difference. I've tried everything except the battery fix and nothing fixes the problem. The dealer advised that they are working on a software fix after an update was made to the satellite.

I have had the same issue since Friday. My dealership said to bring it in; it was a simple fix. They said others have had the same issue. I was literally driving to the dealership when I looked at the radio. THE TIME WAS DISPLAYED. I have no idea why/how it happened but I' glad.

I was able to pull my navigation SD card out while the car was running after about 10 seconds I reinserted it and after a few minutes the navigation system with rebooted or updated itself my clock and date showed back up and is now working.

2016 Kia Optima EX....I just removed the SD card and reset the media system using the button directly above the SD card and within seconds it was working again.

No suggestions worked for my 2018 Kia Niro hybrid. However, suddenly it came back on yesterday. They must have gotten the software patch done.

Mine as well, and i don’t have an SD card so what to do?

I shut the fuse to off and battery 10 minutes. Not only did the time come back but the date which never was there from the start was working too. 2016 optima ex. The dealer said call customer service and they gave my wife the run around for a month about a satellite issue and then the SD card that didn't work. Today they said pull the media fuse and that didn't work. your suggestions here worked. thanks
