1999 Jimmy 4wd not working

ok have done the vacuum hoses and tested the the diaphragm under the battery. Replaced the switch (4 button) lights up that its in 2wd. When I mash either of the other buttons the 2wd stays lit and no other  one flashes.  This one has the solenoid on the firewall so I unhooked the lines and stuck them together and everything worked as it should.   The switch still showed 2wd , I made it go back to 2wd and tried the buttons again ,but it did the same thing. Any ideas besides the computer for it? I don't hear any clicking from the passenger  kick panel.

I changed the encoder motor on the side of transfer case works perfect now 50 bucks at scrap yard
