I have a 2000 gmc yukon slt. My truck keeps idling and at certain points cuts off. My son thinks it's the spark plugs. Please help.
Does it run fine other than not wanting to idle right? If so it could be a dirty or faulty idle air control valve and/or dirty throttle body. Also How long since your last major tune up? (Plugs, filters, ect)
I just replace the spark plugs which were hell to take out. I haven't had a tune up yet. Just got the truck on the 24 of December. After I replaced the plugs, it doesn't cut off like it did before.
Also put new filter in as well.
The truck runs fine. Just look like the previous owner did a little mud trucking with it :-()
