Windshield calibration

Asked by Guru8DDBK Dec 23, 2019 at 05:49 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe need to be recalibrated after
windshield replacement?
Safelite attempted and said they would have to order OEM
windshield that most fail with aftermarket.
I left and have driven over 50 miles, every sensor seems to
work just as it did before replacement.
Will the Tahoe system reboot & calibrate itself after driving
a few miles? That seems to be the case here.

They're probably talking about the Rainsense sensor in the windshield. If it works I wouldn't worry about it. If not then the computer will need to be programmed to recognize the new windshield sensor. Hope that helps! Jim
