Why does my 2014 Ford Edge digital dashboard display fail to work in warm weather?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ford has had my car for 2 days now and they haven't been able to diagnosis the
problem.

Seems this happens when the weather gets warmer.  Not only does my dashboard go
out when parking outside but, it also doesn't work first thing in the morning after being
in the garage all night.

My air conditioning, signals, auto lock/start (both with and without key-less entry
work) sun roof and rear hatch all work fine. It's all the dashboard components that
have the black screen.  Not sure if it's connected but my auto seat upon entering and
starting the car doesn't work either.

Your Ford dealer is the best place to get this fixed. Keep in mind that intermittent problems related to heat can be very tricky to pinpoint. Give them time and I am sure they will find the problem.

Bob, you were right! After 2 visits to Ford it was finally determined that there was an update that needed to be applied to resolve the blank dashboard issue. Thank you.

Great to hear you got it resolved. The VAST majority of dealership service departments are sincere in their efforts to help you, but with the complexity of today's vehicles sometimes the problems are difficult to diagnose.
