2002 gmc envoy

My 2002 gmc envoy wont release my key...I went
to start it and there was nothing no lights or
anything. Now it won't even release my key or allow
me to return the key to start position.

Issue with the lock cylinder.

Dead battery needs voltage to turn key to off position
