2014 Jeep Trail hawk Transmission issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased my used 2014 Jeep Trail hawk this
February 2016. I loved it at first. Then randomly it
would jerk after coming to a complete stop. I
would accelerate gently and it would jerk forward??
Then there was a time where I was making a right
and slowed down to make the turn then I
accelerated a little bit. A normal turn for me. And
my car didn't accelerate at all. I was scared as
traffic was coming . So I turned the car off and
then back in again and it finally started to go. I did
put in park and turn off by the way. I told the
dealership about it. This was only my second week
in. Then I got my oil change because the light
came on about the 3rd week. I told the dealership
about what the car was doing and they said that it
has to be happening when they drive it or they
won't be able to figure it out. So it stopped for a
little while . Then a month ago it started again with
the jerking. And just last Wednesday my car
seemed to be running ok. I put it in park like
normal. Went inside an hour later came back out to
leave and my car started going crazy!!! The
transmission light came on as soon as I put it in
drive!! Then I we t to put it in park and my car lifted
in the back made a loud noise almost crackle then
a loud pop and then it went into park. My parking
break light came on too with it. They told me it was
the drive shady that connected to the tranission.
My car told me it was the tranission with the light
that came on. So today monday, I called and they
told me they replaced that part and the truck is still
doing the same thing, so they said they called
Chrysler and now have to replace the full
transmission with a completely new as they
quoted brand new transmission" fingers crossed
this works because indo love my car I just don't
like the issues. I do have the extended warranty on
the car when I purchased it. Funny I think the
finance guy was aware of this cars issue . Any
advice on Lemon law in NY would help.

Dushans, I love my truck. I would recommend that you make sure that you get the warranty. Since I had my full transmission replaced and one of the sensors replaced. My car runs great! I forget which sensor it was, but it was a factory recall. I did not pay anything to get my truck fixed. And the dealer gave me a loaner. Everything worked out. Good luck on your purchase. My truck looks and feels brand new, I only had one owner. Who took care of it. But I think he knew something was up with the truck. I'm happy with my decision. The one thing that has happened is randomly all my lights come on, and it tells me to shift to park. I don't know what that is about. Because it seems to drive fine. Minus the slow pick up in speed at times. Anyone have this issue?

Tenika, thank you for the advise most likely I'm going have to buy a warranty from the Jeep dealer cause this vehicle is at a different dealer, I like the car looks sharp I will need to make a decision soon.

I also purchased a 2015 trailhawk in February 2018 the car has been in the shop 4x's with everything that all of these post state. I fell in love with my car even b4 I drove it lol & dealership offered to get me out of the car but I refused (@ this time it was the 1st time anything went wrong btw @ this time I had the car for 3 months) now I absolutely regret that decision being as though I'm still experiencing the same problems!! I don't remember the name of this poster but I also experience my moon roofs sounding like its sitting of foam blocks I thought I was going crazy so I'm happy to have read that post but NOTHAPPY lol.. Has anyone found resolutions to these problems??

I am having same problems. While driving my vehicle it will jerk and then cut off and all the lights on the dash will flash. I haven't had this vehicle that long. Have had to get it towed three times within the last month. No one can seem to find what the problem is. I can be driving on the interstate or in a residential area and my trail hawk will cut off for no reason. I am so upset because I love my vehicle just don't like the problems that go with it
