2014 Terrain Battery Draining

Asked by Guru9MNN8H Jan 20, 2023 at 01:11 PM about the 2014 GMC Terrain SLE1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a 2014 Gmc Terrain for about 3 years. I relaced the battery about every 6
months, but within 2 months the battery would drain but could be charged. After
6 months I would have to buy a new battery. I noticed a couple of times, when I
turned off the the engine and closed the door, the radio would come back on?

That may be a body control module , A battery can only take so many drains & charges before it's done for . There's a parasitic drain going on and you'll need a good technician to find the problem . That's what I think

Find the cause of the battery drain and have it fixed even if you need to have a shop do it. A new battery should last 3-5 tears, not 3-5 months.
