I have an 87 Dodge dakota, was running great then all of a sudden it starts dying in drive, I
start it, it starts fine then I put it in drive and it dyes, any ideas?

Try replacing your inline fuel filter. Lower right side of the motor. If it continues then you may need your carburetor rebuilt.
