So i have a 1989 pontiac firebird gta and i was
wondering would be the best swap engine not to
expensive with not 2 many complications

It came with a GM 350 CID and, unless you are planning a power upgrade, I would stick with the same. These are very common engines and finding one in decent condition should not be too hard. Other options would be to buy one that is already rebuilt or, if you are up to it, take out the one in the car and rebuild it yourself.
