Asked by Aug 26, 2016 at 09:11 PM about the 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 1988 firebird, the drivers side light won't
pop up and I tried rotating the knob and it won't go
up or down, is there any other way I can open it?

No, you have to take it apart.

You have to crank that knob forever to get the light assembly up. A few cranks won't do it. HTH. -Jim
